RODOLFO MARI

The method came later. The looking began long before.

The path that became Mystic Body Method began before art school, photography, fitness training or professional credentials gave it names.

I have long been interested in the living human form: how a body moves, communicates, adapts, compensates and relates to gravity.

Parsons School of Design did not begin that inquiry. It gave me another language for it—form, balance, relationship, weight, space and composition.

A career in photography sharpened the eye.

Then I turned that eye more deliberately toward the body.

One discipline kept opening into another.

Since beginning professional fitness training in 1998, I have studied personal training, medical exercise, yoga, massage therapy, craniosacral work, Pilates, functional anatomy, neuromuscular systems and movement.

Argentine tango, photography, music and the ordinary movements of daily life continue the study.

Each discipline offered a valuable window.

None contained the whole body.

The tool is not the method.

People do not arrive as categories.

A person is rarely only a back, a jaw, a gait, a fitness goal, a nervous system or a story.

Every part arrives in relationship with breath, gravity, posture, movement, attention, history, compensation, intention and present state.

Mystic Body Method emerged from learning to look beneath the named problem and beneath the limits of any single modality.

I may use movement, strength, yoga, Pilates, breath, coaching, massage or craniosacral work.

The tool is not the method.

The method is learning to see what is actually happening—and finding the smallest meaningful way to begin.

YOUR BODY HAS A METHOD.

THE STUDY CONTINUES BECAUSE THE  BODY  CONTINUES

BEGIN WHERE YOU ARE

I work with the body and person who are actually present.

You do not need to arrive fixed, flexible, calm, fit or already good at having a body.

Bring the body you have.
